Photography I

Arts Week 2020

Photography I is an introductory class devoted to gaining an understanding of the fundamental principles of taking and making a photograph both through analogue and digital media. Students explore light sensitivity, the lens, film, aperture, shutter, exposure and composition. This year students took advantage of both the traditional and digital darkrooms as well as having an introduction to the lighting studio. Since moving to distance learning, students have been exploring long term independent projects that range from digital exploration, to time passage, to stop-motion animation.
