6th and 7th Grade Arts: Drawing
This course is designed to introduce students to advanced drawing techniques. Every class period includes an observation-based drawing assignment, always focusing on a phrase common to beginning drawing courses: “Drawing what you see, not what you think you see.” The goal is to bring students away from a habit of flat line drawing and into a habit of shaded drawings that show depth and realism.
