2021-2022 Senior Speeches

During my time at RHP, I was faced with many challenges, some were harder than others. But, I have realized sometimes the hardest challenges are the most worthwhile. The reward for me was getting into my first-choice college with a presidential scholarship. Hard work pays off.

You will experience change, just make sure it's the change you want to make. And if your friends don’t support you, don’t be afraid to change them, too.

"I started to publish novels on the internet, update my chapters every day, and share ideas with my friends. It was at this moment I felt that I finally got out from the shadow of the past. It was at this moment I felt that I’m still capable of proving myself."

Just like in everyday life, first impressions mean a lot and can alter how you see a person. Things like how someone dress, walk, talk, and how they carry themselves can tell you a lot.

During games, I found my personality, and my teammates helped give me a totally different view of myself. They helped me see my weaknesses and how to improve them. They taught me that I can achieve anything if I put all my effort into it, and to try to make each day fun and positive, without a phone or computer to distract me.

This last year and a half wasn’t easy for anyone. We all faced uncertainty, and sometimes anxious moments, that brought about unforeseen hardships. But because we have a foundation of resilience, that steadfast mindset of getting through things despite those difficulties, we push through and we end up finding more layers within ourselves.
