RHP and Ren Students Awarded at Fourth of July Event

Amber Renee Owens (’18) was honored with the Bryan and Denise Hardwick Memorial Scholarship Award, named for the event’s founders. The award is given to a local high school senior who embodies the spirit of American patriotism and service to community and country.

The city also sponsors The Herbert Albright Americanism Essay contest for local middle and high school students. Prizes sponsored by Malaga Bank are awarded in three age categories. Rolling Hills Prep students swept the competition this year, out-writing students from all surrounding public and private schools. First place students were asked to read their essays at the event and winners were presented with a plaque of recognition.

Congratulations to our students, Naomi Scott (1st place, 7th/8th grade category), Alexander Buccellato (1st place, 9th/10th grade category), Hannah Gold (2nd place, 9th/10th grade category), and Trevor Robertson (1st place, 11th/12th grade category).
