There are several things that have shaped my life over the years and one of them is my love for the sport of ice hockey. This sport has given me lifelong friends on every team I have played on. I have had many great experiences throughout the years. I got to travel around the country from the time I was eight years old until now.

This past season, we traveled nine times to tournaments out of state. I really had fun because I knew it was going to be my last season of youth hockey. Looking back, I wish I would have cherished the time I got to play and be with my friends at rinks and hotels. My coach would always say he would do anything to get to play at our level and age group again. He would always tell us that he and the other coaches would suit up every game for our team – if they could. I’m grateful that my parents let me play this sport and they put a ton of time and effort into my youth hockey career.

Another element that has shaped my life is growing up in Southern California. This state has so much to offer with the beach, mountains, and desert all around us. I have been fortunate enough to have friends that have taken me on surfing, snowboarding, and dirt biking trips around the state. I have made great memories with great people from these experiences. This has caused me to never want to leave this great state and I hope to become successful, so I can live in So Cal and maintain this lifestyle.

Ice hockey and living in Southern California are things I want to be able to do for the rest of my life and this has inspired me to strive to become successful.
