R&R Speaker Series: Kate Sheehan

Renaissance School is pleased to be co-hosting the R&R Speaker Series alongside REACH Elementary and Middle Schools, the newest member of our consortium of schools.

Our upcoming speaker is Kate Sheehan, LCSW, presenting the topic "Managing Anxiety During Uncertainty: How to Help Your Kids Get Through" virtually on September 16 at 4 PM (PST).

Kate Sheehan is the Managing Director of UCLA’s Center for Child Anxiety ResilienceEducation and Support (CARES), which raises awareness about childhood stress and anxiety while working with parents, teachers, physicians and therapists to support children. Kate is a graduate of Columbia University, and practices as a strengths-based psychotherapist. She is a Mindful Self-Compassion teacher. Being witness to others’ courage and growth is one of her core joys.

Please note, this event is open to all members of the community in addition to outside participants.
