Kendyl Douglas, RHP '12

When I entered college, I started taking math classes in the hope that I could major in a science. The desire to study in a STEM related field was largely a result of the experiences I had in the physics classes at Rolling Hills Prep. My physics teachers, Mr. Boccuzzi and Mrs. Eastvedt, largely influenced my academic pursuits and life goals. In such a small school, I could receive more attention from teachers, which largely contributed to my ability to think independently and confidently later in life. Without this skill, I would have never been able to believe that I was capable of taking upper division math classes or, even, earning the position as Head Math Tutor at my college.
