Amir Tehrani, RHP '95
After graduating from Rolling Hills Prep, Amir attended UC Irvine and graduated magna cum laude in Economics with minors in Computer Science and Management. He worked at Deloitte Consulting for a short period and then entered UCLA's distinguished Anderson School to pursue his MBA with a focus on entrepreneurship and real estate.
The memory at RHP that stands out for Amir was being the team captain for the RHP Varsity Basketball team in 1995. When he began his varsity basketball career, the school was tiny and teams worked very hard to keep their heads above water in athletics. Amir always had a passion for basketball and athletics in general. In 1998, the team he had captained three years before won a CIF championship, and Amir joined the bench as an honorary assistant coach. In his wildest dreams, he never believed that his little school could accomplish so much. He described that success as similar to the movie Hoosiers.
After graduation from college, Amir worked as a principal in two companies, Edward Carl & Associates Real Estate and Conrad Asher Marketing. He is currently the president of Conrad Asher Licensing Group, Inc., which markets and distributes apparel and other products associated with the Mexican Soccer Federation. He also sits on the board of various companies, including Tabletops Unlimited, Allied Imex, Fernbank Partners, Wild East Group, Conrad Asher Group, The Riordan Programs, and cPrime Inc.
Amir retains fond memories of all his teachers at RHP and could not pinpoint one teacher as a favorite. He commented that all of his teachers played a very positive part in his education and all of them contributed to his accomplishments.
Amir maintained the perfect balance of academics, athletics and extracurricular activities at RHP. He truly made the most of his time as a Husky and remarks that the school afforded him opportunities to try new endeavors he would have shied away from at a larger school.
