Donating your retirement plan may provide more benefits to the schools than it would to your heirs.

Donating a paid-up life insurance policy to the school can provide you with a tax deduction. You also can name the school as a beneficiary of the policy.

Gifts of Appreciated Securities A significant tax break is available for gifts of appreciated securities.
