"Not he who has much is rich, but he who gives much." - Erich Fromm

Welcome to the giving page for Rolling Hills Prep!

As the Director of Institutional Advancement, I look forward to working with you to make supporting our schools an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

As you know, a Rolling Hills Prep education is an investment in your child's future. It is a choice you make, to provide your child with the best possible education he or she can receive.

We understand the sacrifices some families make to send their children to an independent school, particularly in these difficult economic times. It is important to remember that a donation to our school is a tax-deductible way to enhance the educational experience for your child or grandchild. It is also a way to make a commitment to the future of education at this very special school.

We have made contributing as easy as possible, including providing the option to donate online by going to Click and Pledge and following the easy instructions.

As with other independent schools, tuition covers approximately 80 percent of the cost of educating a student here. The generosity of our families and friends enables us to provide the quality education, resources, and environment necessary for students to succeed and achieve their goals both now and for future generations to come.

To close the tuition/expense gap, we turn to current parents, past parents, grandparents, alumni, trustees, faculty, friends, foundations and corporations for charitable support. There are many ways to help and more details about each program are available on this website. Your options include:

  • The Annual Fund - This is a tax-deductible way for you to help bridge the gap between tuition and the cost of educating students.

  • Special Events - The Fall Auction & Gala and the spring Golf Tournament are fun ways to spend time with fellow members of the school family and provide support for our schools.

  • Scholarship Fund - This fund supplements the Flexible Tuition Fund and allows additional students, with special skills and abilities, to attend our schools.

  • Special Campaigns - Special Campaigns are announced from time to time, for varied purposes like staff development or purchasing technology.

  • Capital Campaign - Our capital campaign will fund major capital expenditures including permanent buildings.

Rolling Hills Prep School is fortunate to have in its community a parent population who understand that their support of the school, whether through time, talent or resources is essential. Most of our parents volunteer for large and small assignments equaling thousands of hours of vital support. That contribution is very much appreciated by the entire school community.

The other members of our department - Jenny Rasak, Director of Special Events and Donor Relations, and Cami Hamilton, our Communications Director - and I welcome your questions and participation in our efforts. Please stop by our office and say hello. We keep a pot of coffee hot and are happy to spend time with members of our school community.

Yours,

Barbara Dye
