High School cheerleading has traditionally been known as an important part of the school and community culture. It is increasingly respected as a very demanding sport, due to the combination of physical demands and dance ability, hours of practice and the gymnastic/strength components needed by team members. RHP cheerleaders work year around to create and boost school unity, morale and spirit, to support athletics and co-curricular programs, and to compete regionally.

The RHP Cheer team is open by audition. It trains at least four days a week perfecting routines and preparing stunts. The team cheers at every home football and basketball game (boys and girls) and organizes spirit days on campus. There's a real feeling of commitment to the Husky spirit on the Cheer squad.

The coach for the Cheerleading team is Bryonna Fisco, a former professional and NBA dancer. She joined RHP in 2002 to start a cheerleading program in response to student interest. With her more than 15 years' experience in dance and cheerleading in Southern California, she has helped the team improve steadily through the years.

Through hard work and dedication the cheerleading team has received many accolades over the years. In 2008 the RHP Cheer team placed second in the California State Cheer and Dance Championship, and in 2007 they placed 2nd at the Universal Cheer Association Southern California Winter Classic in San Diego, where there were over 20 teams in our division from all over Southern California represented.
